Edwin Covarrubias started Scary Story Podcast with the intention of sharing user-submitted stories, and after publishing his first few episodes, he realized his audience was asking for more of his original content. Rather than resisting, he embraced the pivot and quickly started to notice his download numbers climbing into the thousands. Now, just about three years since launching, his podcast is averaging 1 MILLION monthly downloads, and his business is thriving… with THREE more existing podcasts and another on the way! In this conversation, Edwin shares his top tips for new podcast discoverability, what his experience has been like in working with advertising agencies, exactly what his income looks like at 1M monthly downloads, how he manages his workflow to publish episodes weekly across four different podcasts, and so much more.

Edwin Covarrubias is the creator of several paranormal storytelling podcasts. A collection of short original horror tales, his Scary Story Podcast accumulates 1M+ monthly downloads, peaked in Spotify's US Top 50, and peaked in Apple Podcasts' Top 200 (both across all categories). Edwin believes that we are all storytellers and have a responsibility to share our experiences with others, especially the scary ones!
