Curious to know what goes into creating a top true crime investigative series? Tune in to hear all about how James Baysinger has surpassed 1M downloads per season with his Hide and Seek podcast, including what he's learned about responsible journalism, what marketing strategies he uses to be get new listeners, how he responds to threats during investigations, and most importantly: his top tip for how to find a missing person!

Launched in 2019 by James Baysinger, the Hide and Seek podcast investigates one missing person's case per season, with each season surpassing 1 MILLION downloads! The first missing person case investigated on the podcast was that of a decade-old case (at the time) about a woman named Nancy Moyer, who was last seen purchasing items from a Tenino market at 6:45PM on March 6, 2009. Following a 2019 murder confession, city officials stated that attention paid to the case by Hide and Seek and other wide-reaching media sources had a substantial impact on the forward-movement for the case.

Season 2 investigated the case of Logan Schiendelman, a 19-year-old male who vanished in May 2016 under mysterious circumstances, following reports of his vehicle drifting across multiple lanes of traffic. In Season 3, which is currently in production, Hide and Seek is investigating the disappearance of a woman named Brittany Shank, who has been missing from Sturgis, Michigan since November 30, 2018 – she was last seen running barefoot through the woods away from an unidentified “boyfriend” in freezing conditions, leaving behind an abandoned vehicle.
